For the Aeros and SSL material texturing process we utilize floating decals to help detail and describe the surfaces. To contrast with the large scale almost fantastical graphical design that we use for our buildings I modeled a set of more industrial/mechanical elements and fasteners that're used on all of our structural content to help describe how the buildings are constructed as well as provide key visual detail to balance out the structures that works with our set dressing and additional paneling detail to ground our content.
The detail sheet was modeled out in Blender and then I collaborated with our material team to develop the final textures that I constructed the materials that the rest of the team would then utilize to create content with.
