Splitgate 2 - Core Dynamics

Earlier on the project I supported the team working on the Core arena level with adding additional dynamic elements to help make the level come more alive. For the map I prototyped and developed a conveyor belt that added to the overall gameplay experience and required coordination with engineering for replication purposes. In addition I worked with VFX on setting up the tracking mechanical eyes that're populated throughout the level, they're setup via materials with world position offsets and math setup to follow player position while still looking 'alive'. I also rigged and animated various looping elements in the vista spaces to make it feel like you're in a part of a larger facility to add to the overall storytelling of the level. They were all each fun challenges to figure out and integrate with the rest of the level.
